Qatar is getting a resort of superlatives: The new Hilton Salwa Beach Resort & Villas is to celebrate its opening this year. Located around 100 kilometers from the capital Doha and the airport, the complex with its more than 360 accommodations extends along a 3.5 kilometer long private beach. A harbour, a spa, several pools, 25 restaurants and bars and the water and adventure park “Desert Falls” are just a few highlights.
30 beach villas with private pools and gardens are already bookable. With two to four bedrooms they cover 318 to 1,353 square meters. 85 more beach villas and 246 rooms and suites are to follow in early 2021. Most rooms will have a terrace or balcony with sea views. The suites and executive rooms provide access to the VIP lounge. The crowning glory are the two “Royal Suites” with a proud size of 1,190 and 1,650 square meters respectively.
The culinary offerings range from regionally inspired dishes in the “Souk Kitchen” to specialties from Tuscany in the “Dante Cucina Italiana” to fish and seafood in the elegant “Octa”. The underwater restaurant “Mawia” promises a very special atmosphere. In the 2,800 square meter “Eforea Spa”, which is spread over two floors, eight treatment rooms, separate thermal baths for men and women, several saunas, steam baths, an ice fountain and a VIP room with Rasul bath await you.
Families in search of adventure can explore the “Desert Falls Water & Adventure Park”, which forms part of the resort. On more than 57,000 square meters, 28 slides and rides attract visitors – including diving, canyoning and surfing on artificial waves. Those who prefer to stay dry can enjoy the laser tag hall and go-cart track. In the course of 2021, a huge sports center with six soccer fields is to be added, which will already be fully geared to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
